What this means
UK student loans are repaid through PAYE when you earn above your plan's threshold. You pay a percentage of earnings above that threshold — 9% for undergraduate plans and 6% for postgraduate loans. Repayments stop if your salary drops below the threshold.

Check your payslip, P60 or Student Finance account. Plan 2 is common for English undergraduates who started from 2012. Plan 5 applies to courses starting from 2023. Scottish students may be on Plan 4.
